What do you think about this?
We asked if they knew whether the 79% population in Yemen will be poor by 2022 and 92,9% didn’t have any idea about it. That’s because of the lack in knowledge and research that there is around this topic.

We asked this previous question (Despite Mexico having the 15th largest GDP in the world, would you expect half of all Mexicans to live in poverty?) and 71,4% of the people didn’t know. We think this is because we don’t care enough.

We asked to the people if they knew any organization that helps poor and surprisingly 71,4% of them was uninformed. We think this is due to the lack of interest.

What do you think about poverty?
All answers are correlated and all express sympathy towards poverty; “It sucks, I think it is very unfortunate that we live in a world that doesn’t care enough, It’s sad, It’s awful, It’s bad, It’s something very sad and it doesn’t have an easy ending, It’s sad, It’s a global problem, It’s something sad, It’s horrible, I don’t think about poverty, a problem that is difficult to solve, something that comes from education”
How would you solve poverty in Yemen?
“Creating more job opportunities, spread awareness, support pay equity, raise minimum wage, with a better economy, with no corruption, jobs, better attention to citizens, equality in money, with schools, education, more services to the community, better education, receiving more education” These were the answers people gave us.
How would you solve poverty in Mexico?
“No corruption, get rid of corruption, raise minimum wage, expand medical care, raise minimum wage, with no corruption, jobs, more jobs, with schools, education, more jobs and higher minimum wage, better education, receiving more education.”
Poverty
Research Question; What are the similarities and differences when creating jobs for the 34 million residents of Mexico and half the population in Yemen that live in poverty?

The most effective way to reduce poverty is to create jobs. That is why we need bold, forward-looking partners who are prepared to take the risk of investing in poor countries.
Commercial investments
A vital condition; Today, there is broad international agreement that investing in business development is vital for reducing poverty.
Mobilising the private sector has a central place in the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We must support companies that are willing to invest in developing countries. Through their investments in Asia and Africa, Telenor and Yara are making an important contribution to social development.
The Poverty Alliance is a network of organizations working together to combat poverty and inequality in Scotland.

About us.
I was born the 5th of November in the southern part of Mexico, in the beautiful peninsula of Yucatan. Growing up I remember never knowing which month it was, due to the same ongoing climate in our town and although you might think its boring it was fine by me. Always surrounded by plants and never-ending sun. Nevertheless I was a happy child who loves to dance and paint. After living most of my life in Quintana Roo I had a change of heart and decided to move out and discover the faraway lands, weathers, crowds and cultures. Thanks to this Im more open-minded and my curiosity has never been more eager to learn new things. At the age of 20 I find myself immersed in the arts, more specifically visual design in the university of UDLAP building and preparing for the life ahead. (Sasha Elizabetha Torrealba Pettersson)
My name is Triana Bernat Kuri, I was born in Mexico City on January 30 2001. I have two sisters and one brother, I live with them and with my parents in Puebla city. I lived in Houston Texas for a period of time with all my family and in that time I discovered I wanted to be an artist, although I love horse back riding I choose the art over the horses, but muy love for them will never change, I discovered that I wanted to put the art above the horses when I was living in Canada, I was about 15 years old, and it was a really important time in my life, because while I was living there I found myself. Right now I’m starting college, I study art and I’m very very happy with the person that I’m becoming.
I was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico on October 8, 1999. I have a twin brother and since we were born we do everything together. We went to the same school and practiced the same sport since forever. My favorite sport is volleyball and I been practicing it since 2009. I have been in a lot of places in Mexico and USA and I’ve made a lot of friends thanks to the volleyball so I’m so grateful for that. My family always supported me in my life so nothing bad has ever happened to me. I love my life until now and I know there’s gonna be some ups and downs because that’s life but the important thing is to know how to deal with the problems and never look down. That’s the way I thing and a think that’s been helping me.
